Gunes denies Wigan Park link

Seoul insist no Latics bid has been lodged

FC Seoul boss Senol Gunes has played down speculation linking Wigan with a move for his striker Park Chu-young.

Steve Bruce has conceded his admiration for the player but Gunes insists no approach has been made by the Premier League club.

The South Korea international is keen on a move to England but his manager has urged his player to concentrate on his club football and let transfer speculation look after itself.

"I haven't heard anything," said Gunes. "All I know is that Park Chu-young attended training today and there is a big chance that he will play at the weekend.

"Let's not talk about what may happen and talk about what is happening.

"There are other players who want to move abroad, not just Park."
