Hull manager Phil Brown has lavished praise on two-goal striker Marlon King after his deadly double sank Newcastle 2-1 at St James' Park.King, who is on loan from fellow Premier League side Wigan, scored the goals which took the Tigers up to fourth in the table.
"There has been a lot said about Marlon King, even before he came to this club," Brown told the club website. "There were one or two doubters and a few eyebrows raised when he came through the door, but I've found him nothing but a pleasure to work with.
"I think that's firstly because he recognises the ambition of the football club, I hope he recognises my ambition and I know he is a player who wants to say to Wigan Athletic and the Premier League that he can score goals.
"He had the bottle to stick the penalty away and that wasn't easy. That was the biggest moment of the season so far."
